On 3rd April 2023, Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation (CJPT)* in cooperation with Charoen Pokphand Group (CP) and Toyota Motor Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate towards achieving Carbon Neutrality in Thailand.

Last December 2022, CJPT, CP, and Toyota expect to be a part of producing happiness for 67 million Thai citizens by considering together with Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, a senior chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group; and Mr. Akio Toyoda, Chief Executive and President of Toyota (at that moment) that was built on each trustworthiness and agree on the cooperation for carbon neutral solutions in Thailand under the concept of "doing what can be done now, together with partners who share the same view". The parties reached an agreement for solutions in the three areas which are energy, data, and mobility by taking advantage of the country's resources, and expect to generate its outcome by the end of this year. In this regard, the kick-off project took place with producing hydrogen from poultry farm's biogas and conducting Carbon Neutrality Mobility Event recently.

To immediately start working on the three areas, we aim to drive the project for society which cover all cycle of producing, transporting, and using energy in some special economic zones in Thailand. Including verifying and visualizing effects through the assigned unit for further expansion in other regions. However, the three parties (CJPT, CP, and Toyota) will also take the opportunity to estimate the level of CO2 emission reduction caused by the collaboration toward carbon neutrality.

The cooperation of three parties (CJPT, CP, and Toyota) determines to expand partnership, who have the same view, to strengthen encouragement in achieving Carbon Neutrality in Thailand. The carbon neutrality is an issue that needs cooperation from all segments, whereas the cooperation of three parties (CJPT, CP, and Toyota) determines to expand alliances, who have the same view, to strengthen encouragement in achieving Carbon Neutrality in Thailand.
